For a season, in late 2005 and early 2006, a meme circulated there. It was fun, simple, and helped everyone see we really are not all that different. The meme was "What Makes Me Weird". The person tagged lists five things about themselves that others might consider weird, and then tags five others, asking them to do the same. I want to see this circulate around Blogger and Wordpress! Please be a sport and play along.
1. I prefer to eat my mashed potatoes with a little salt sprinkled on them, no gravy please. Has to be fresh salt on top, makes no difference how salty they were or weren't on their own.
2. I can pick up things with my toes and pinch the fire out of you, too!
3. I have dreamed the answer to problems at work before.
4. I always sneeze in a sequence of three, one right after the other.
5. I must have a sheet over my body and at least some light blanket up to my hips to sleep.
Okay, I admit the list could have been pages long, but I don't want to scare you off.

DeleteI can pick up things with my toes, too. My SIL said something about my brother doing the same thing (I can't recall if it was a complaint or not), so apparently it's a genetic thing. I guess ;)

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a sanitary freak and wash my hands a lot.
Your wife must be a fine woman. My daughter washes her hands more than necessary, but not compulsively. Dirt doesn't bother her, but she has a sensitive nose and can smell any little thing on her hands.
DeleteI have to be covered with a sheet to sleep too. If I only had a small cover I would want my shoulders to be covered then feet would be next. Hips uncovered okay.

DeleteI too need a sheet and something a little weighty on me to sleep. I am sure I have dreamed great ideas and solutions to problems, but can't remember them when I awake no matter how hard I try.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember very many dreams. Usually I remember a feeling or an overall theme, but not the details. Makes me think the work solutions come from God.
DeleteYep, no matter what the weather, I need at least a sheet and blanket on. Sometimes I'll stick my leg out of the covers.

ReplyDeleteWeird traits about me: I do most of my writing in the bath; I created a language based on my cat's sounds; no matter how ill I am, I can always eat bacon-flavored chips; I'm hugely phobic of worms and will feel them crawling on me if I see one; and I read all the time, even when crossing the street or cooking.
I need covers over me when I sleep, too.
