A to Z Champions!!

I've made my posts
Time after time.
I wrote every sentence
Though they didn't rhyme.
And bad days -
I've had a few.
I've had my share of broken links to chase
But I've come through.

(And I it just goes on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we kept on writing 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for snoozers cause we are the champions of the Challenge.

I've made my visits
I've left my comments
You've brought me followers and shares and all that goes with it
I thank you all!
But my social life's a mess
No housework's been done
I consider it a challenge before the whole blogging world
That we got 'er done!

(And it just goes on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
Cause we kept on blogging 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for snoozers
'Cause we are the champions of the Challenge!

We are the champions, my friends,
Cause we kept on blogging 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for snoozers
'Cause we are the champions of the Challenge!

This is my gift to all who survived the A to Z Challenge.
Sing to the tune of "We Are the Champions".

Barbara

  5. I imagine you there, sitting in front of your computer, with this song playing in the background. Stopping to rewind to be able to catch the words and then getting them typed in.
Writing a blog post a day requires some serious research and every post takes a considerable amount of time. To everyone who completed all twenty six letters, congratulations you are indeed champions.

    1. Love the imagery, Geoff! Actually, I put the real words down, then typed my lines underneath each line, then went back and deleted the real ones.

  6. That was fun. I recognized the song's structure immediately.

    1. Thanks! Yes, didn't have to change it all, as a lot of it aptly applies.

  13. Yes, we are the champions. I've always loved that song. Growing up in Louisiana, it always played on the radio right after another Queen song. I think it was Another one Bites the Dust. But my mind may be playing tricks on me. I know that the radio station ALWAYS played We are the champions right after another song. It never failed. Anyway, congratulations on making it through another year. I enjoyed the blog posts that I was able to read. I hope I have an opportunity during May to go back through and read the rest of your posts. My husband has taken a turn for the worst and has been moved back to the step down unit in the hospital so I don't know how things will be at home for a while. Take care and I'm looking forward to your reflection post.

  14. Congratulations on surviving the challenge, Barbara! Hasn't it been great?

Have you thought about your theme for next year? I'm thinking about having 3 of my blogs in the challenge next year...but I might just sit down until the feeling passes. haha

    Have a blessed Mother's Day!

    1. No, I don't start planning this far ahead. I'm too mood oriented and driven.

There is no way I'd do more than one blog at a time in the Challenge. Perhaps you'd better sit down! ;)

    2. Till the feeling passes? haha I am sitting down. Standing makes me faint. :)

I don't know how my memory or mental functioning will be this time next year, so I like to plan ahead. However, that doesn't always make things less stressful.

I have files set up with ideas for each of the blogs that I'm considering. One is my main blog (PS Annie!), one for my Texas-themed blog, and one for my fiber arts blog. These last two have next to nothing on them. I may just use the ABC idea to create posts for those throughout the year instead of doing the challenge on them and save the challenge for PS Annie! I'm still pondering on that. :)

If I pre-write them (it *could* happen), then, all I'd have to do is make all the visits and comments. Who knows, maybe about 10 more hours will be added to each day by then. LOL

  16. Very cute. What a fun read. I've done my share of lyric changing in the past. This one was very good, I enjoyed it.
