I Saw it on Facebook

Do you ever wake up in the morning and as you crawl out of bed you find that part of your body forgot how to work overnight?

Sometimes I jump out of the bed so fast, that it takes about five steps to realize something is wrong.  Usually, as the day progresses things slowly loosen up and the neurons find their pathway again and every thing begins to work like it should.

But then there are days when something just has a kink in it all day long.  On those days it seems the only way to correct the situation is to go back to bed and sleep and hope everything reboots correctly in the morning.

  1. Yep, I can relate! Now I have to wait just a minute before I start walking, just to make sure everything else is with me when I do :)

    1. Uh-huh, sometimes it happens to me when I am getting up out of a chair, especially if I've been sitting an hour or two.

    1. No, when it gets severe or becomes chronic, it isn't funny at all. Like in Pete's case where one simple little project can have him down for four or five days. But, thankfully, for now, in my case it is rare and occasional, doesn't include much pain so I do chose to laugh about it.

  3. My wife tends to take a couple steps before she knows what she's doing. I take it slow because I know my body has forgotten how to walk overnight.

  4. My husband moans and stretches before he takes a step. I have a knew replacement and another in my future so I usually limp for a few steps.

  6. Wouldn't it be great if we could just reboot? Loved the image. I think I recognized the toes.

  7. Daylight Savings Time does that for me. It was so hard for all of us to get to sleep then get up this morning. Probably take a week or so to get used to it.

    1. Yep, we feel invincible when we are young, but then one day we realize "Oh, heck no!"

  11. and this daylight savings thing doesn't help. I'm pretty good at getting up when it's light. However, this darkness is for the birds.

  12. I've also noticed that my eyes struggle to focus for (more than) a few seconds in the morning, especially if I've been at the computer late, the evening before (as I'm doing now... time for me to call it a night...)
Thanks for popping in at my blog!
See you around on the A to Z circuit!

    1. I haven't had that issue, but it does take my eyes longer to adjust to the dark when the lights are first turned off.
