Good News!

Good news to report today. Pete's stress test and echo both came back with all things normal/good for a man in his age group! Considering his family history this is good and glorious news! (I told him "Now if you can just get that stuck door open, your heart will be fine." He said "What?" I said, "That door in your heart that Jesus is standing at knocking and saying if you open if, he'll come in and sup with you and you with him." No comment. But no snarl either.)

While we were gone the kids took Bubba's hoopie down the pipeline and ended up in a ditch at a location. Well, he stuck it there! And after they had walked home, the pumper came thru and locked the gate. Then he and Daddy had to go down late yesterday and get it. Luckily, Daddy's old key from his pumper days managed to unlock the gate. That boy had best learn to stay out of the locations before he gets himself (and us) in trouble!

Today we go to the eye doctors and get his vision problems throughly checked out. Maybe there will be some answers there. Your continued prayers are coveted and appreciated!

A friend of mine from an AOL group who has been in a trial of her own lately forwarded this e-mail to me and I will attempt to share it with you here:

I Asked God

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.[Unable to display image]
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own! ,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY
Blessed Be.

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world"

"May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
and give you Peace.....Forever"

  1. Glad your husband's tests were so good. You use a lot of expressions I do not understand like hoopie.  Is pumper something to do with water.  There definitely is a language difference between  the U.S.A and the U.K. lol
