The Diver

Dear Friends, today has been a mixed up mess for me!  So I am only posting a little story that a friend passed on to me.  I think their is someone out there it is meant for.

This will give you chills......

Phil. 4:13 states:

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

 Here's the story:

A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be
an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his
outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much
attention to his friend's sermons, but he heard them often.

One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he
attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and
the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by.

The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he
turned his back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his arms out,! he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body, was in the shape of a cross. The man felt a strange feeling, like someone was speaking to him. Instead of diving, he knelt down and finally asked God to come into his life.

As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned
the lights on. The pool had been drained for repairs.

I Love Jesus--my Savior. He keeps me functioning each day.
Without him, I am nothing but with Him I can do all things through Christ
that strengthens me. Phil 4:13.

  7. I know you wrote this a few months ago, but oooh! chill bumps here, too, just thinking about it. amen, sister, I could not do what I do without Jesus' Light. Someday, I will tell the story of how I got into teaching. For now, I will tell you it was a calling. I was 45 years old when the calling came... it's true. Never had even given it second thought prior to the nudge that I felt came from God. He does call us to do things like stepping out of the boat and onto the water... that's exactly how it felt, how I felt, like Peter saying, "Call me Lord, tell me to come out to you!"...too. Did I sink? you bet I did... but He was there to hold me up, and still holds me up. I'm in my seventh year. Every single day, every breath of every minute... I thank Him every day. I will back to your journal. Come visit me sometime. Address in my profile. Bye!!
