Remember when I posted a link and asked you all to go and sign a card the Veterans of Foreign Wars were going to deliver to wounded soldiers? Well I received this note recently:

Barbara, VFW Friends of Freedom made the 2006 holidays a little brighter for wounded troops at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, TX. On December 22, 2006, Mike Espinola, Sr., District 5 Commander, VFW Department of Texas and its Ladies Auxiliary President, Dolly Edwards, presented troops at BAMC a Christmas card signed by over 20,000 caring patriots. |

ReplyDeleteIT IS NOT EASY TO UNDERSTAND THE THINKING OF PEOPLE BORN AND GREW UP HERE AND SEEM TO BE WILLING AND EVEN ANXIOUS TO GIVE AID AND COMFORT TO AMERICA HATERS BY HURTFUL TALK.
A GREAT CONCERN IT IS WHEN U.S. CONGRESS PEOPLE SHOW DISRESPECT. FORTUNATELY THERE IS NOT A GREAT NUMBER OF THOSE TYPES.
SOME SEEM SO ADDICTED TO HATE IT IS UNCONTROLABLE. sam

ReplyDeleteThat is really nice. I wish more people would donate to us when I call them. There is so much opportunity to give of what we Americans have so much of (stuff and more stuff we don't even use) and yet, it is sometimes a struggle to get a donation. Hugs,
