You Think You're Not Good Enough?

The next time you feel like GOD can't use you, just remember...

Noah was a drunk

Abraham was too old

Isaac was a daydreamer

Jacob was a liar

Leah was ugly

Joseph was abused

Moses had a speech impediment

Gideon was afraid

Samson had long hair and was a womanizer

Rahab was a prostitute

Jeremiah and Timothy were too young

David had an affair and was a murderer

Elijah was suicidal

Isaiah preached naked

Jonah ran from God

Naomi was a widow

Job went bankrupt

Peter denied Christ

The Disciples fell asleep while praying

Martha worried about everything

The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once

Zaccheus was too small and was a cheat

Paul was too religious

Timothy had an ulcer... AND

Lazarus was dead!

Now! No more excuses!
God can use you to your full potential...all He needs is someone who is willing.  Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.
And one more thing...
Share this with a friend or two...
In the Circle of God's love, God's waiting to use you to your full potential.

  4. I was reading in the book of Luke, Chapter 17, I think.  Jesus was talking about how even as sinners, selfish, adulterous, greedy, lying, thieving, sinners, God loved us enough to let his son die for us.  Jesus said, if he can love us as sinners, how much more can he love those who fight the good fight and reach for the will of God?  Not in those exact words but in that same sentiment.
The hairs of our heads are numbered, we are created by him, just like the sparrows, every single life matter to him whole heartedly.  Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open.  He is infinitely concerend with every person, every care.  The angels sing and heaven rejoices at the salvation of even one soul.  God wants every sinner to come to salvation, even the ones who are so difficult to love from the human perspective.  Kind of puts it all into perspective doesn't it?  I love you Barbara.  Thank you.

  7. I love it!  I'm starting to really notice the people in the Bible now, how they have all had just as many hang ups and baggage as I have.  I just finished reading Gideon again, and it really amazes me when I think of the people God has used and Loved!  Makes me not feel so miserable!  I love the way you put it though!  Have a great week Barbara!  Love Carolyn

  10. A *right on the mark* entry; one that I'm sure will bless all who read it. I remember how lost I was before Christ rescued me  - remember especially how I believed what I told myself, which was that I wasn't good enough. Until we meet Christ we're so caught up in ourselves - focused on the problems - rather than the solution, which is found above our head, where our help will always come from.
Thanks for this journal- and for taking time to make it so special for all of us.
    God bless you,

  13. This is awesome. Its true that God loves us all and that we dont need to be perfect. Though...I had no idea Isaiah preached naked, that'd be something to see!

I think its a natural human condition to not feel perfert enough to have a relationship with God, its something I struggle with!

  15. Loved that...It amazes me how God didnt pick people who didnt have tainted pasts....you would think our judgemental lists would be much shorter if we spent time in our hearts with that...........great entry!
