Posting to Save My Soul

I was online, looking around.  Checking out my reading list.  Looking to see if a few new blogs I had followed had made any posts I had missed.  Then, I scrolled back up to the top of my Blogger Dashboard screen and I saw the number of posts I have made here at Life and Faith:  666!!!

Well, I don't want my blog associated with the number of the beast!  So, I had to, of course, make a quick entry so that the number would roll and I'd be at a nice, safe, decent and Holy 667.

In case you've had your head buried in sand somewhere all of your days, the beast I refer to is in John the Revelator's book in the Bible and the number 666 is an important clue to his identity:

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. - Revelation 13:18, JKV

Now I can push post, finish Perry Mason, go to bed and sleep soundly.

  2. Haha. 666 posts is a huge number but a "bad" number indeed. Smart thinking for getting post #667 up fast. ;)

    1. Yes, Chrys! Perhaps Blogger should consider just skipping that number.

    1. Not something I normally look at either, Paula, but that number just jumped out at me!

  5. I'm at 1150 on PS Annie! I have no clue what my badly numbered post was about, but I would have likely gone into freak mode, too, trying to make it go away. :) Have a blessed weekend!

    2. Thank you. It has been okay so far. :) It isn't as many posts as it seems, though, because they are spread out over about 4 or 5 years or so. Wouldn't it be great to be able to make that many posts in 1 year?

Have a great evening, Barbara. :)

    3. I don't know. That would be 2 or 3 posts a day! I personally have no desire to do that, nor read that many. I've been blogging eleven years. I've took a hiatus' a time or two. No, a couple of posts a week is fine with me. ;)

  6. Numbers are fantastic. A fun fact is content which seems to boost visits too. Your blog is a year older than mine so its not the quantity but the quality, well done Barbara!

  7. I never thought of looking at the number of posts I've made. I know I can't be up to 666 yet but now I will have to look.

  8. I used to work as a host/waiter for a restaurant. One Sunday, a local minister approached the cash register. His bill was $13.34. Being somewhat math-inclined, I knew immediately what his change would be as he handed me his twenty-dollar bill. "And your change is... $6.66. Does that bother you?" I asked. He just laughed and said "I have faith in my Lord."

  10. LOL! I fully comprehend and would have done the same thing! :) Oh, and when my number of blog followers had reached 666 I was hoping that a 667th follower would be added to it...quickly! LOL! :)
